Cybercrime SLC Meeting – Stay Tuned on Recent Key Developments around Cybercrime!
Abstract: The Cybercrime SLC Meeting will present an overview on cybercrime related sessions at the San Diego Conference. It will also provide an update on two ongoing Committee projects, the podcast series and the survey. Extracts from the podcasts produced so far will be presented for the first time to a larger audience.
In the second part, the Meeting will address emerging trends in cybercrime, namely quantum computing and cybercrime as well as cybersecurity and critical infrastructures. These topics will be briefly introduced by the session moderator, followed by a discussion with all attendees.
The Cybercrime SLC Meeting will be moderated by Sheena Jacob who has kindly stepped in for the absent Co-Chairs.

Abstract: The EU AI Office is leading the development of the General-Purpose AI Code of Practice, a comprehensive framework designed to guide providers of general-purpose AI models in complying with the requirements of the AI Act. This initiative involves the collaboration of nearly 1,000 stakeholders, including industry experts, civil society, and representatives from EU Member States. The Code aims to address key issues such as transparency, copyright obligations, and systemic risk assessment and mitigation. The final version is expected to be published in May 2025 to coincide with the enforcement of the AI Act starting in August 2025.

Alessandra has graduated in law both in Italy and in the California, she is fully licensed in both jurisdictions, and she is an Italian and US citizen: she has acquired a vast experience in a global legal environment with regards to international business transactions and she has successfully assisted clients with reference to numerous of cross boarders deals and in particular with international co-productions.
