Eugene Weitz is a longstanding member of ITechLaw, serving on the Board of Directors from 2011 through 2017. He also is Chair of ITechLaw’s Global In-House Lawyer Committee. Eugene is currently Vice President - Law and integrated member of the DXC Technology’s Legal Department via DXC Technology’s Managed Legal Solutions team, Eugene’s representation of DXC Technology includes supporting the General Counsel and providing strategic guidance regarding global cybersecurity policy inclusive of participation in the United Nations’ OEWG, Cybersecurity Tech Accord and Paris Call Working Groups as well as the ongoing digital transformation of DXC’s Legal & Compliance Department.

Kate Growley, Crowell & Moring International, Hong Kong

Kate M. Growley is a director in Crowell & Moring International, based in Hong Kong. Drawing from over a decade of experience as an internationally recognized attorney previously practicing in the United States, Kate now helps her clients understand, navigate, and shape the policy and regulatory environment for some of the most complex data issues facing multinational companies, including cybersecurity, privacy, and digital transformation. Kate has worked with clients across every major sector, including technology, health care, aerospace and defense, and professional services. Roland Mathys, Schellenberg Wittmer Ltd, Switzerland

Roland Mathys is an attorney-at-law and partner at Schellenberg Wittmer Ltd in Zurich/Switzerland where he heads the firm's technology and data law team. He studied law and computer science in Basel and Zurich and holds an LL.M. in technology law from the London School of Economics (LSE). In his practice, he regularly advises and represents clients on, among other things, large IT and outsourcing projects, cloud and XaaS projects, Swiss and EU data protection law, legal issues relating to digital platforms and new technologies, and cybersecurity. Roland Mathys publishes in his areas of expertise and regularly speaks at international and national conferences. Ole Horsfeldt started out as a general commercial lawyer, but over the past 25 years he has become an outsourcing lawyer specialised in outsourcing of IT requirements, business processes, and facility services. Today, Ole heads up Gorrissen Federspiel's Digital Business practice. The team are among the most highly specialised outsourcing advisers on a global scale. Oles' advice typically involves agreements with a regional or global reach and covers more than just "the agreement" or the legal terms. His mission statement is to make outsourcing successful for buyers of services. Ole is well-known for managing complex outsourcing transactions through combining legal, compliance, operational, and strategic perspectives. To Ole, client enablement is paramount. Therefore, his advice is designed to support clients in managing and reaping the benefits from outsourcing. Ole has been the architect behind concepts such as proactive remedies, co-operation agreements, the "deliver first, settle later" principle, and fast track dispute resolution, which have contributed to setting the standard for modern outsourcing in the Nordic countries. In all of Ole's work, the element of continuous improvement plays an important role. A result of this is the development of a Contract Management method, “Omnicent” designed for managing long-term and complex sourcing agreements. Described as "the most innovative and strategically thinking expert on the market" in the media sector (Client quote, The Legal 500, 2022), Pietro is particularly experienced in the structuring of digital business models, broadcasting law and online advertising issues for e-commerce and digital businesses. He has been especially active in advising on copyright issues arising from the acquisition and exploitation of IP rights via new technologies, such as streaming services. Sought after for his deep experience in the field of gaming and esports, Pietro has been the Chairman of the Executive Board of the World ESports Association (WESA) since 2018. His clients include numerous game publishers and gaming platform operators, as well as more traditional sporting organisations such as the Bundesliga and German Basketball League. Pietro and his team have won several awards for their capabilities in the field of media, including a 2017 FT Innovative Lawyer award for their work advising on the establishment of WESA. A Patent and Trade Mark Attorney and Intellectual Property litigator, my practice encompasses all physics based disciplines, in particular telecommunications; antenna design; semiconductors; optics; control systems; software; cryptography; mechanical engineering; nanotechnology; medical devices; nuclear physics, imaging; electronics and microprocessors; voice recognition, text-to-speech conversion and oil services technology. I have wide experience of drafting and prosecuting patent applications for both the UK Intellectual Property Office and European Patent Office, and also before patent offices throughout the world. I also represent clients in contentious matters such as oppositions and appeals before the Patent Offices and the UK Courts; and in advisory work including infringement and validity opinions, freedom to operate opinions, due diligence investigations, IP strategy, and product clearances. My contentious practice is enhanced by my holding a Higher Courts Litigation Certificate entitling me to conduct IP litigation in the courts.
