The Cyber Crimes law states punishment for entering an electronic site, electronic information system, information network, and/or information technology tool to uphold confidential governmental information without concession would face imprisonment and a fine of AED 250,000 – 1,500,000 in Article 4. Article 5 also addresses the issue of digital trespassing in terms of the attempt of changing, amending, concealing, or getting a hold of private information with the penalty of AED 100,000– 300,000.
