Please see above. Supervision is divided between different entities depending on what category of subject is under supervision. The specific legal instruments/powers for supervision under the Protective Security Regulation (2018:658) are yet to be decided. The Swedish Government has appointed an investigation currently working on this matter.
Authorities responsible for enforcing the Security of Network and Information Systems Act (2018:1176) may use instruments such as:
• Investigative powers, including access to enterprises
• Impose fines
• Issue injunctions
The supervisory authorities may combine their powers with monetary penalties (fines).
