Criminal liability:
1) Article 159.6 of the Criminal Code establishes criminal liability for computer fraud which is defined as the theft of the other’s property (or acquisition of right on it) by interfering with functioning of tools of keeping, processing or transfer of computer information or information and telecommunication networks (including input, deletion, blockage or modification of computer information). This offence is punishable by imprisonment for period up to 10 years, fine in the amount up to 1 000 000 rubles.
