In Mexico the laws dealing with the protection of Personal Information are the Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Information in Possession of Private Entities, and The Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Information in Possession of Obliged Subjects.
The first one of them regulates the collection, use and transfer of PI by private entities, while the second one regulates the collection, use and transfer of Personal Information by Governmental entities.
