According to Article 144 of the Criminal Law it is considered a criminal offence when a person commits intentional violation of the confidentiality of personal correspondence or unlawful interception of publicly unavailable data transmissions or signals in telecommunications networks, as well as unlawful acquisition of publicly unavailable electromagnetic data from a telecommunications network in which such data is present.
