The Attorney General or the Executive Director of the Office of Consumer Protection may bring actions for violations of this statute. However, action cannot be brought against government agencies. Penalties shall not be more than $2,500 for each violation. However, businesses that violate this statute can also be liable to the injured party in an amount equal to the sum of actual damages sustained by that party.
