As further described in the answer to the question in Section 1.3., the NSCS-FI maintains a nationwide situational awareness webpage relating to cyber security. As further described in the answer to question 1.1., VAHTI, which operates under the Ministry of Finance, develops and coordinates central government information security, and handles all significant government IT-security policy and guidance matters. VAHTI has issued information security instructions, which, although developed for government institutions, are often used by private organisations as guidance.
Finland also has a Security Committee (Fin: Turvallisuuskomitea), which operates under the Ministry of Defence. The Committee is responsible for monitoring the implementation of Finland’s Cyber Security Strategy. In March 2018, the Committee decided on up-dating the Cyber Security Strategy, which was first published in 2013.
