Survey Answer:

1. Financial data
The PBOC and the CBRC are the main regulators for commercial banks in China, with the PBOC overseeing the macro aspects and the CRBC managing the details of the operations by commercials banks. The PBOC also regulates payment institutions.
2. Healthcare data
National Health Commission and its counterparts are the main regulators of the healthcare industry in China and accordingly the regulator for personal healthcare information.
Genetic resources are considered as state-owned and the government, and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and the National Health Commission are responsible for administration of the state’s genetic resources through the jointly established working office under the MOST – China Genetic Resources Administration Working Office.
