National information security standardization technical committee (全国信息安全标准化技术委员会, TC260) was established on Apr. 15, 2002, in Beijing with the approval of Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China. TC260 is a technical work organization engaged in the formulation of information security standards. TC260 is responsible for organizing the development of standardization technology related to domestic information security. The main scope of the technical committee includes: standardization technical work in the fields of security technology, security mechanism, security service, security management, and security assessment.
