Chapter III, Title V, Book of the Criminal Code contains several criminal sanctions related to the violation of secrecy and privacy. In particular, it includes sanctions connected with: (i) illegally accessing electronic communications, correspondence or private communications and papers; (ii) illegally accessing computer data or systems which have restricted access; and (iii) make public a private communication causing damages to a third party. It also includes some provisions connected with privacy and personal data (please see point 5.11 below).
