The Minimum Requirements contain the principles that financial entities must take into consideration in connection with information security. They also provide that each entity must have an information technology committee, which is a specialized body within their structure in charge of the protection of all information assets and must be independent from the technolog-ical and information systems areas.
In addition, the Minimum Requirements contain provisions on security management, security planning, resource management and the implementation of a security policy. This policy must include the mechanisms, practices and procedures detailed in the Minimum Requirements, regarding access to data, maintenance, incident response, continuity and recovery, among other matters.
