Descripción / Description

Las implicaciones del desarrollo e incorporación de nuevas (o renovadas) tecnologías en el ámbito de la contratación comercial (local, internacional o transnacional) son innumerables. Es apreciable como algunos avances tecnológicos recientes influyen con fuerza sobre la participación humana en la formación y cumplimiento/ejecución de los contratos comerciales. Esta nueva etapa de la automatización contractual, en sentido amplio, más allá de la noción vinculada a las herramientas de gestión o gerencia digital del ciclo de vida de los contratos, aumenta la necesidad de su estudio, análisis y discusión por parte de la comunidad jurídica y empresarial.

During the Caracas ITechLaw CyberSpaceCamp, speakers will be discussing recent developments in contract automatization, including contract formation and digital transformation, electronic and digital signature, smart contracts, contracting through online platforms, and risks related to the automatization of commercial contracts.

Mariliana Rico Carrillo

Doctora en Derecho mención Cum Laude por la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Secretaria General de la Federación Iberoamericana de Asociaciones de Derecho e Informática (FIADI). Profesora Titular de la Universidad Católica del Táchira (UCAT). Árbitro certificado por la Corte Suprema de Florida. Profesora invitada en cursos de pregrado y postgrado en la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Universidad Complutense, Universidad de Salamanca, Universidad de Chile, Universidad Europea de Madrid, Universidad Internacional de la Rioja, Universidad de los Andes y Universidad Central de Venezuela. Miembro de la Comisión de Derecho Uniforme de las Transacciones Internacionales del Colegio de Abogados de Costa Rica. Directora de la Revista Derecho y Tecnología editada por la UCAT.

Ph.D. in Law, Cum Laude, from the Carlos III University (Spain). She is currently the General Secretary of the Iberoamerican Federation of Informatics Law (FIADI). Prof. Rico Carrillo is a Full Professor at the Catholic University of Táchira – UCAT (Venezuela) and a Certified Arbitrator by the Supreme Court of Florida. She has been a visiting professor at Carlos III University, Complutense University, University of Salamanca, University of Chile, European University of Madrid, University of The Andes (Venezuela), and the Central University of Venezuela. She is also a Member of the Uniform Law Committee about International Transactions of the Bar Association of Costa Rica and Director of the Law and Technology Journal, edited by UCAT.

 

 

 

 

Raymond Orta Martínez

Abogado especialista en litigios y Derecho Procesal, dedicado al área de pruebas científicas. Fundador y Profesor de la Cátedra de Pruebas Informáticas en el Posgrado de la Universidad Central de Venezuela. Miembro Corresponsal de la American Society of Questioned Document Examiners (ASQDE). Desde 1995 ha ejercido como científico forense en peritajes y experticias en juzgados nacionales e internacionales en las áreas de documentología, dactiloscopia e informática forense. Coordinador de proyectos que abarcan el área de documentología, grafotécnica o documentos cuestionados. Miembro fundador y Director Ejecutivo del Instituto Venezolano de Derecho y Tecnología (INVEDET).

Lawyer specialized in litigation with a specific dedication to scientific evidence. He is the founder and Professor of the Computer Evidence Chair in the Postgraduate Program at the Central University of Venezuela. He is a Correspondent Member of the American Society of Questioned Document Examiners (ASQDE).  Since 1995 he has served as a forensic scientist in expert opinions and expertise in national and international courts in areas such as forensic document examination, fingerprinting, and computer forensics.  Author of many publications on evidentiary law and computer law.  Founding member and Executive Director of the Venezuelan Institute of Law and Technology (INVEDET).

 

 

 

 

Nayibe Chacón Gómez

Doctora en Ciencias mención Derecho, 2009. Especialista en Derecho Mercantil, 2004; y abogada, 1999, títulos obtenidos en la Universidad Central de Venezuela. Desde 2000 Investigadora Docente, alcanzando en 2016 la categoría de Profesora Titular. Directora del Instituto de Derecho Privado de la Universidad Central de Venezuela y Directora General de la Sociedad Venezolana de Derecho Mercantil – SOVEDEM. Autora de dos libros y colaboración en más de 10 trabajos colectivos; más de 40 artículos en revistas y memorias de eventos arbitrados, tanto nacionales como internacionales, en el área del Derecho Comercial, específicamente Sociedades Mercantiles, Propiedad Intelectual, Contratación Electrónica, Mensajes de Datos y Firma Electrónica, y Protección de Datos Personales en la Sociedad Red.  

Ph.D. in Law from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) and specialist in Commercial Law from the same university. Prof. Chacón is currently an Academic Researcher and Full Professor at the UCV Law School. She is a Director of the Institute of Private Law at UCV and General Director of the Venezuelan Society of Commercial Law (SOVEDEM). She is also the author of two books, contributions in more than 10 collective works, and more than 40 articles published in several journals and reports of national and international events on Commercial law, specifically related to Commercial entities, Intellectual Property, E-contracts, electronic transferrable records and e-signatures, Data Protection and Privacy in Network society.

 

 

 

 

Luis Ernesto Rodríguez Carrera

Abogado egresado de la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) y Magíster en Derecho Internacional Privado y Comparado de la Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV). Profesor en la UCV de Derecho Internacional Privado. Profesor en la UCAB de Arbitraje. Actual Secretario General de la Asociación Americana de Derecho Internacional Privado (ASADIP). Representante de la ASADIP ante el Grupo de Trabajo IV de la UNCITRAL sobre Comercio Electrónico. Miembro fundador y Director del Instituto Venezolano de Derecho y Tecnología (INVEDET). Socio de la firma BORA Legal.

He graduated from the Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB) with a law degree and obtained a Master’s degree in Private International Law and Comparative Law from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). He teaches Private International Law at UCV and Arbitration at UCAB. He is currently the Secretary-General of the American Association of Private International Law (ASADIP) and represents this association at the UNCITRAL Working Group IV on Electronic Commerce. He is a founding member and director of the Venezuelan Institute of Law and Technology (INVEDET). He works as a senior partner at the BORA law firm.
