Roger Bickerstaff specializes in all aspects of information technology law; in particular, advising clients in connection with large-scale infrastructure contracts, including contract negotiation and procurement procedures, contract management issues and dispute resolution.
Mr. Bickerstaff has more than 15 years of experience in advising on large-scale IT projects, so that he understands the issues that arise in major projects and can provide solutions to resolve them. He provides advice that goes well beyond legal and contractual matters and into the technical and commercial heart of successful project implementation.
Recently Mr. Bickerstaff has become interested in the classroom use of IT, from the rollout of suitable technology and the introduction of virtual learning environments to the legal issues surrounding the use of student, school and third party content. He is also very interested in the development of open source materials in educational and corporate environments.
Mr. Bickerstaff is recognised as a leading exponent of IT law in the United Kingdom and is regularly cited in legal directories. He has a particular expertise in EC procurement law issues. He is a Trustee of the United Kingdom Society for Computers of Law.
