Matthew A. Karlyn

Matthew A. Karlyn is a member of his firm's Information Technology & Outsourcing Practice and of its Emerging Technologies and Health Care Industry Teams. He has extensive experience with transactions relating to information technology, including technology licensing, outsourcing, systems integration and software development.
Mr. Karlyn advises companies and associations on all matters involving the use of information technology, including structuring technology initiatives, vendor selection, negotiation, technology implementation and management of technology assets.
Mr. Karlyn is a graduate of Temple University, where he was a member of the Temple Political & Civil Rights Law Review, and Union College, where he received a B.A. cum laude in political science and East Asian Studies. He has studied extensively in Japan and Italy. Mr. Karlyn received his M.B.A. in economics and strategic management from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Karlyn is admitted to practice in both Massachusetts and Illinois. He is an active member of the International Technology Law Association and the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals. He is a frequent speaker and writer on information technology law and issues pertaining to drafting and negotiating information technology contracts.
