Jörg Wimmers

Jörg Wimmers advises technology, media and telecommunications companies on technology transactions, ranging from ERP and CRM implementations to outsourcing projects and ASP arrangements, the structuring of IP and technology licensing models for IT companies, as well as the handling of IP and technology licensing aspects in mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.  

Mr. Wimmers is well-known for his technology and IP litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) practice, and he also advises search engine companies, providers of digital audio and video content, portal operators, and access providers.

Mr. Wimmers obtained his law degree after studying in Frankfurt and Hamburg and was admitted to the courts in Hamburg.  He was awarded an LL.M. degree by New York University and was admitted to the New York bar.  Before joining Taylor Wessing, he worked for the United Nations Secretariat in New York.  

He is a member of the German Society for Law and Information (DGRI), the German Association for Intellectual Property and Copyright (GRUR), the German American Lawyers Association (DAJV) and the International Technology Law Association.  He regularly publishes articles in German and international law journals on current IT matters.
