Jack Fijolek

Jack Fijolek helped pioneer early broadband systems as a member of AT&T Bell Labs Forward Looking Research technical staff more than 20 years ago.  Since then, he has worked on Broadband Cable, DSL and Wireless innovations, and he is a named inventor on 28 granted U.S. patents.  Mr. Fijolek is also a registered Patent Agent.  

Over the years, Mr. Fijolek has been an active contributor to and author of telecommunications industry standards for the IETF, IEEE, ITU, DOCSIS, Packet Cable and other industry forums.  He currently leads the strategic corporate development and merger & acquisition activities for UTStarcom, Inc.

UTStarcom sells its broadband, wireless and handset solutions to operators in both emerging and established telecommunications markets around the world, enabling its customers to rapidly deploy revenue-generating access services using their existing infrastructure, while providing a migration path to cost-efficient, end-to-end IP networks.  Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Alameda, California, the company has research and design operations in the United States, China, Korea and India.
