Francoise Gilbert

Francoise Gilbert focuses on privacy, security and fair information practices. She works with companies to develop and implement policies and procedures governing the collection, use and distribution of consumer, customer and employee records, and to address privacy and security in corporate and commercial transactions. Her compliance expertise includes e-commerce and online privacy; international data protection; advertising and marketing programs; children's privacy; financial, healthcare, and workplace privacy; and document management programs.
Ms. Gilbert is an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois, in Chicago. She is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and she serves as co-chair of the ABA E-Privacy Committee, the California Bar Privacy & E-Commerce Committee, the PLI Privacy/Security Law Institute and the IAPP/TRUSTe Silicon Valley KnowledgeNet.
Ms. Gilbert is admitted to practice law in California, Illinois and France. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law (Illinois) and a Maitrise en Droit from the University of Paris (France), as well as a graduate degree in Mathematics from Paris University (France).
