Eric Nelson's practice includes representation of clients in the software, Internet, electrical, mechanical and telecommunication markets.  He specializes in patent-related matters, technology licensing, and developing intellectual property strategies.  Mr. Nelson’s clients range from Fortune 500 firms to emerging and venture capital financed companies.

Prior to joining Knobbe Martens Olson and Bear, Mr. Nelson developed new operating systems and applications software for IBM.  During his tenure in law school, he was the Notes and Comments Editor for the Baylor Law Review.  Mr. Nelson has had numerous articles and comments published in the United States, Europe, and Korea.  Currently, as a case reporter, he writes about new decisions from the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
