Niels Bo Jorgensen

Niels Bo Jorgensen's expertise falls in the field of IT and intellectual property rights. His experience ranges from large scale acquisitions, licensing and distribution of IT products, software and online services to development of new technologies and outsourcing.
Mr. Jorgensen has several years of experience in registration and defense of trademark and domain name rights before national and international trademark offices and complaint boards. As a general attorney for the Danish InterActive Media Association, he has advised numerous companies concerning marketing law, e-commerce requirements and consumer protection. He is sought after for his knowledge and experience in the field of personal data, where he advises national and international clients on transfer of personal data on a global scale, drafting and implementing personal data policies and collection of data through online technologies. He has advised major distributors on international set-up of online content distribution.
Mr. Jorgensen headed the Danish Anti Piracy Organisation for many years and conducted several high profile copyright cases before the court for the movie and music industries.
In addition to serving on the Boards of several Danish companies, he is a member of the Board of World IT Lawyers and serves as General Secretary for the Association of Danish Interactive Media (Foreningen af Danske Interaktive Medier, FDIM). He is also an external associate professor in International E-Commerce at the Technical University of Denmark, and he is the former leader of the Danish Bar Association's e-commerce courses. Mr. Jorgensen is the author of the book The E-Commerce Act with Annotations, (DJØF) 2003.
