2009 Annual Meeting & World Conference

Michael C. Caulfield
CEO and General Counsel, ByteMetrics LLC; Cranford, New Jersey

Michael Caulfield combines a thorough knowledge of corporate compliance and information security issues, forensic science and the rules of evidence and procedure, with a burgeoning expertise in cutting-edge, digital data forensics technologies and methods, including EnCase and FTK, and information security database monitoring and auditing technologies such as those of Imperva and Varonis.  Mr. Caulfield founded ByteMetrics, an international Information Security/Data Forensics company.  Previously, he was the General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Secretary of Computer Horizons Corp. until that company's assets were sold in February, 2007.

Mr. Caulfield has been a practicing attorney since 1985 and was an assistant prosecutor in New Jersey.  He then went into private practice as a trial attorney, handling commercial, computer hardware and software-related, environmental, intellectual property, employment discrimination, contested matrimonial and criminal defense matters, among others.  In 1998, he became COO and General Counsel to G.Triad Development, an e-commerce software applications development company that was later acquired by Computer Horizons Corp., a public computer services and solutions company.  After the acquisition, Mike became the General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, Director of Human Resources and Secretary of Computer Horizons.

Following the sale of the corporate assets of Computer Horizons and the winding down of the company's affairs, Mr. Caulfield opened the doors of ByteMetrics in order to carry on with the kinds of technical work with which he had become familiar in the course of his responsibilities at Computer Horizons.
