Faye Fangfei Wang

Faye Fangfei Wang is convenor of the Cyberlaw Section at the Society of Legal Scholars (SLS), UK.  Her research interests are computer law, electronic commerce law, information technology law, intellectual property law (digital IP rights), online dispute resolution, international trade law, commercial law, conflicts of law and private international law.  She teaches international trade law, in particular e-commerce and dispute resolutions.

Her research aims to provide practical solutions to real-world problems in the areas of electronic contracting, electronic signatures (e-signatures), Internet jurisdiction, choice of law and online dispute resolution, which are of great value in academia and legislative organizations such as the European Commission (EC) and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and are of practical value in private business and legal practice.

She has worked extensively and internationally in computer, electronic commerce, information technology and intellectual property law fields since 2001.  She has been a speaker at a number of international legal conferences and has published widely on IT and IP law.

She holds a Ph.D. in Law (with Distinction) from the University of Southampton, an LL.M. in Commercial Law(Merit with overall distinction) from the University of Aberdeen, an LL.B. in International Economic Law in China, and a Diploma in Computer Science.
