Jessica Franken, a partner with Quarles & Brady in the Intellectual Property group, is an experienced IP transactional lawyer who works with companies to protect, commercialize and obtain intellectual property.  She has negotiated a wide variety of technology-related agreements, including software, patent and trademark licenses, e-commerce agreements, consulting agreements, and joint development agreements.  She regularly advises clients on issues faced when providing or obtaining cloud-based services, such as privacy policies, terms of use, terms of service and data security and assists with the IP-related aspects of M&A transactions.

Ms. Franken spent over ten years of her career working inside corporations.  During her time as in-house counsel with Honeywell in the Industrial Automation and Control Division, she negotiated international transactions, license agreements, supply agreements, managed the division’s import and export control function and helped form an international standards group.  Since returning to private practice, she has served clients in the technology, healthcare, and manufacturing industries.

Ms. Franken has been recognized by the Phoenix Business Journal as an outstanding Woman in Business and has an AV Preeminent Peer Review rating from Martindale-Hubbell.  She received B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Arizona College of Law and a M.A. in from Arizona State University, and is a member of the Arizona bar.
