Paul Criswell is an Independent General Counsel, providing on-call counsel services to global technology companies and other businesses. His clients include early and late-stage start-ups and public companies. He provides counsel regarding sales and marketing contracts; intellectual property acquisition, protection, licensing and litigation; corporate and securities law compliance; and employee relations and benefits issues. He has particular expertise in advising smaller technology companies which are negotiating sales contracts with large financial institutions or communications companies, having successfully negotiated numerous agreements with the largest US banks, brokerages and telecommunications carriers. He also advises international companies on operations in the United States.
Previously, he has been General Counsel or Associate General Counsel for three publicly-traded technology corporations, Stratus Computer, Inc., VideoServer, Inc. and Picturetel Corporation.
Mr. Criswell is the current editor of the ITechLaw eNews. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Massachusetts School of Law; a contributing editor to the Bowne Digest of Corporate and Securities Law; and is on the Board of Directors of the Wellesley, Massachusetts Municipal Electric Company.
