Katheryn Andresen is a partner with Hellmuth & Johnson, PLLC and practices in the Information Technology and Ecommerce Practice Group.  For more than 17 years she has assisted clients with their complex transactional needs.  Her practice is focused on representation of regulated entities subject to Federal privacy regulations such as HIPAA and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.  Her focus is on corporate transactions and technology licensing. 

Ms. Andresen has been a long-time member of the Minnesota State Bar (Computer & Technology Law Section), the American Bar Association, as well as the International Technology Law Association.  She is frequent author and lecturer, both nationally and internationally. She is the author and editor of The Law and Business of Computer Software (Thomson West 2007-2012) and the Chapter on Privacy in Minnesota Business Torts Deskbook (2009-2013). Prior to law school, Ms. Andresen was a systems engineer and a linguist working with military intelligence.

 Ms. Andresen is admitted to practice in the State and Federal courts of Minnesota, and the 8th Circuit. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, with a Master’s degree in International Relations from Boston University and graduate studies in International Law from McGeorge School of Law.
