President's Letter

John Beardwood

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that I join with Program Chair Jenna Karadbil, Conference Co-Chairs Ceylin Beyli and Charles Morgan, and the Planning Committee led by Ira Schwartz, to invite you to the ITechLaw 2013 World Technology Law Conference & Annual Meeting, to be held in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona, just outside the capital city of Phoenix. Phoenix – just a short flight away from the technology heartland of San Francisco and Silicon Valley, as well as San Diego and Los Angeles – is also readily accessible for our members planning to attend the INTA 2013 Conference the following week in Dallas.

Given that last year’s World Technology Law Conference & Annual Meeting was among ITechLaw’s largest US conferences to date, attended by nearly 250 of the top tech law minds in the world, we expect a full house in Scottsdale. As always, the conference will feature a unique program with sessions led by prominent speakers from around the world, which will focus on bringing you up to speed on the newest technology law developments and their application to your practice.

In addition to the valuable educational offerings, you will enjoy the many networking opportunities and social events every ITechLaw conference provides. The conference’s Welcome Reception, formal Gala Dinner and Closing Reception are valued experiences and should not be missed, and excellent venues to meet and catch up with your fellow attendees. Attendees at the World Technology Law Conference & Annual Meeting include leading attorneys in private practice, in-house counsel, business executives, government officials and academics from more than 40 countries. Our members tell us that it is the relationships formed with the attendees - and the professional referrals and personal friendships which grow from those relationships – which bring them back to the association every year.

In short, ITechLaw’s 2013 World Technology Law Conference & Annual Meeting is the only forum which will both update you on recent technology law developments and allow you to participate in a unique networking experience – in both cases designed to support you in growing your practice and worldwide referral networks.

In the heart of the Sonoran Desert, Scottsdale welcomes you with the energy of a sophisticated city on the move, the charm and hospitality of days gone by, and a breathtaking landscape that will inspire you. With a compelling conference line up, this remarkable event cannot be missed.

We look forward to seeing you in Scottsdale.

Regards,
John Beardwood
