Mladen Vukmir

Mladen Vukmir specializes in intellectual property law, licensing, commercial law, litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Recently he has focused on providing strategic advice to expanding central European businesses, involving immaterial asset management, IP rights portfolio building and management, and complex branding and advertising issues.

Mr. Vukmir was retained as an expert advisor by the Croatian IP Office during its founding. He was then appointed a patent and trademark agent before the CSIPO, where he is now a Member of the Patent and Topographies Board of Appeals. He serves as a consultant to various domestic and international organizations, including the Croatian Government, the World Bank, the European Commission, and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). He is also the Royal Danish Consul General (Hon.) in Zagreb.  

In his ADR work, he is an arbitrator and a mediator at the Permanent Arbitration Court of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, a Distinguished Neutral at the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR), a neutral on the International Trademark Association (INTA) Panel of Neutrals, and a panelist on the WIPO Domain Name Administrative Panel (UDRP). He is an International Mediation Institute (IMI) accredited mediator, and he currently serves as INTA ADR Committee Chair.  He is President of the AIPPI (Association pour la Protection de la Propriete Intellectuelle) Croatian Group.

He obtained his law degree from the University of Zagreb and his Master's degree in IP from Franklin Pierce Law Center in the United States.
