Dr. Andreas Splittgerber practices in his firm's IT/Communications group. He advises companies on matters related to IT and communications, in particular on software, hardware, consultancy, outsourcing and cloud computing agreements. In addition, he supports companies in all questions regarding e-commerce and Internet law, as well as data privacy law. He also advises clients on IT matters with respect to mergers and acquisitions.

For example, he advised Siemens in a global IT infrastructure outsourcing deal with Nokia Siemens Networks. He has advised numerous clients on the structure and design of their websites, e-shops or social media presence. He has assisted German DAX 30 companies and well-known U.S. companies with the implementation of global whistle-blowing hotlines, business partner due-diligence tools and human resources databases. He has advised clients on legal compliance projects (especially in data privacy law).

Dr. Splittgerber joined Baker & McKenzie 2004. He studied law at the Universities of Dublin (Ireland), Passau and Munich (both in Germany). Before being admitted to the bar, he was working as a trainee lawyer in law firms in Germany and Mexico.
