Dr. Christian Frank

Christian Frank's practice concentrates on complex technology related transactions and strategic alliances within the IT/Technology sector. His extensive experience includes software and technology licensing, OEM, VAR and other distribution arrangements, R&D, and technology transfer agreements as well as other IP-driven transactions. He represents both national and international clients, ranging from start-ups to large public companies. Dr. Frank is well known for his technology, IP and unfair competition litigation practice and has been recommended in legal guides such as Juve or Chambers.

After having taken the French "Licence en droit" at the University of Paris, he completed both German legal state exams in Munich and later received his Dr. jur. Dr. Frank joined Taylor Wessing in 1996.

His recent publications include the chapters on "Disguised Advertising" and "Media Specific Particularities" in Harte/Henning's Commentary on Germany's statute of unfair competition (second edition, 2009), on "Dispute Resolution and litigation strategies" in Lehmann/Meents Manual for Information Technology Lawyers (2008), and on "Software Licensing Agreements" in Berger/Wündisch's Copyright Contracting Law (2008).

Dr. Frank is an active member of the German Society of Law and Information (DGRI), the International Technology Law Association, and of the International League of Competition Law. He is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences.
