ITechLaw is delighted to announce the Presidential Lunch briefings, taking place in Warsaw, Budapest and Bucharest on 25, 27 and 29 August, 2014, respectively.

Due to the growing interest in issues relating to information and communication technology law amongst the Central European nations, these lunch briefings will endeavour to introduce ITechLaw to the leading practioners who have an interest in technology law.

ITechLaw has been serving the technology law community worldwide since 1971 and is one of the most widely established and largest associations of its kind. It has a global membership base representing six continents and spanning more than 60 countries. Its members and officials reflect a broad spectrum of expertise in the technology law field. ITechLaw informs and educates lawyers about the unique legal issues arising from the evolution, production, marketing, acquisition and use of information and communications technology.

ITechLaw is a forum for the exchange of ideas and in-depth examination of information technology and telecommunications law issues. These exchanges take place in various settings allowing for widespread attendance and participation:

  • Global conferences including annual meetings held in the United States, Europe, Asia and India;
  • Committee participation in both organizational matters and substantive law developments; and
  • Association publications including eNews and Journal of technology law.
Thus, ITechLaw provides an excellent opportunity for colleagues, regulators and law makers in Central Europe to learn and ideate with lawyers in other nations at different stages of development.

Sajai Singh, President, ITechLaw, will introduce ITechLaw to the august gathering, and will endeavour to present perspective from his experience in a developing nation, India. Sajai will be joined by Susan Barty, Treasurer, ITechLaw. With colleagues from India, the UK, Estonia and Lithuania, the meeting promises to be not just informative, but also interesting. Finally, this meeting presents a unique opportunity to network with other technology law professionals in your region, discuss key technology law topics affecting your practice today, and learn more about how you can be part of ITechLaw.

If you would like to attend, please feel free to email the President directly at sajai@jsalaw.com mentioning the session you would like to attend, i.e. Warsaw, Budapest or Bucharest. We hope you will be able to join us, and we look forward to seeing you in August.
