Matthias Ebneter works in the field of Information Technology Law (telecommunications, software, licensing and contracts, data protection, e-commerce), as well as in all areas of IP rights and their protection. He has authored numerous articles in professional journals and online publications, and a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Lucerne, Switzerland.
Mr. Ebneter studied law at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and at the University of Alabama School of Law, United States. He earned his Master of Laws degree (Swiss and European Law) in 1998 and passed the bar exam in 2001. He also acquired special IT-related legal and technical expertise and earned a Master of Laws degree in Information Technology Law at the University of Vienna, Austria, in 2004.
Mr. Ebneter has been working with computers since receiving his first Commodore 128 as a Christmas present. As soon as access to the Internet was implemented for university and subsequently private use, he began developing and programming computers websites for colleagues and friends. Intelligent systems are the next level in his passion for computing.
