Bio:
Steve Davidson is a shareholder in the law firm of Leonard, Street and Deinard and helps clients throughout the United States and in other countries in development projects, transactions and litigation involving computer and information technology.
Steve is a former president of the ITechLaw and an adjunct professor of information technology law at the University of Minnesota Law School. He has appeared on the faculties of more than 150 information technology law conferences in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Steve has been helping clients deal with open source software issues since the mid-1990s. He has helped clients with issues involving the use of open source tools and components in the development of commercial software products, as well as issues related to the development of closed source products for open source platforms. Recently, a great deal of his time has been spent helping clients manage technical due diligence audits in connection with the acquisition of software assets and software companies.
