Maury Shenk is head of the European technology practice at Steptoe & Johnson, and is a dual-qualified US/UK lawyer. Maury provides advice on a wide variety of regulatory, corporate, commercial and policy issues affecting international electronic commerce and telecommunications. He has particular expertise in Internet services, wireless telecommunications, data protection and information security (including encryption and public key infrastructure). Maury acts for many leading technology, financial services and industrial companies from the United States, Europe and Asia, as well as start-up and smaller companies. He is proficient in French and Russian, and has a working knowledge of German, Italian, Norwegian and Spanish.
