Espen A. Werring heads his firm’s IT and business process outsourcing practice, having worked exclusively within the field of IT law during the last 10 years. He has extensive experience in the full range of technology-related contracts, with a strong focus on advising customers in their sourcing of complex IT services. His practice focuses on strategic planning, structuring, drafting and negotiating/renegotiating outsourcing contracts. He has advised on some of the largest and most complex transactions in recent years, both domestically and internationally, in cutting-edge outsourcing activities.
Mr. Werring also advises on legal issues revolving IPR in software, e-commerce, data protection and other Internet-related issues. He works closely with Haavind’s Corporate department, supporting them in their transactional work in the technology sector.
He is a board member of the Outsourcing & Offshoring Committee of the Norwegian Computer Society (Dataforeningen), and he has served as a member of the Norwegian Computer Society’s focus group for Multisourcing. In addition to his Norwegian law degree, he holds a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in IT Law and Internet Law from King’s College and Queen Mary, London.
