Vice President and Digital Media Counsel, A+E Networks; New York
Seth Metsch is Vice President and Digital Media Counsel at A+E Networks. Mr. Metsch has also previously served as Sr. Director, Business Development in A+E’s Digital Media division. A+E is a major provider of television programming, including A&E Network, HISTORY and Lifetime Network.
Mr. Metsch focuses is negotiating and drafting agreements for domestic and international digital media transactions, including video distribution over broadband Internet, IPTV and mobile platforms. Deals are with both stand-alone platforms and television multi-system operators as part of "TV Everywhere" initiatives. Mr. Metsch also advises programming acquisition groups of digital media rights necessary to implement A+E's strategy, and provides primary legal support related to interactive websites and digital advertising.
Immediately prior to A+E, Mr. Metsch was Associate General Counsel at Sirius Satellite Radio, where he advised various business units, including programming, sales and marketing, data services, consumer electronics, engineering and information technology.
Mr. Metsch is a graduate of Tufts University, where he served as chairman of the students' judiciary panel, and of the Fordham University School of Law, where he was the Senior Articles Editor of the Fordham Environmental Law Journal. Mr. Metsch currently serves on the Board of Advisors of the Fordham Center on Law and Information Policy.
