- Ian Forrester of White & Case, who represented Microsoft before the European Court of Justice in which the Court upheld - on September 17, 2007 - the EU Commission's ruling that Microsoft had abused its dominant market position, and ordered the compulsory licensing of Windows software. Mr. Forrester will discuss Microsoft's position, the legal and policy stakes involved in regulating intellectual property rights with the legal arsenal of competition law, and the next steps for Microsoft in the case.
- A presentation of cutting edge IT issues examining new areas of IT law and what the future holds: Cleantech, Nanotech and Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Committee Breakfast, November 2nd, Open to all ITechLaw Members
This Committee Breakfast includes all members of the association's four Law Committees, which address particular substantive areas of the law (outsourcing, e-commerce, IP and data protection), and which are open to all ITechLaw members. This will be an opportunity for committee members to come together, meet with committee leaders, find out more about joining a committee and the committees' activities, and how they can get involved.
