Where will the 2017 World Technology Law Conference be held?

The Drake Hotel

The Drake hotel is a beautiful beaux-art hotel built in 1920 that is known for its luxurious amenities and distinguished service. With its seat of prominence on the north end of the famed Magnificent Mile, the hotel is able to offer guests many options that others may not be able to, allowing for the expressed and unexpressed wishes and needs of each guest to be met.   ITechLaw has negotiated a discounted rate at The Drake Hotel on a block of rooms for our attendees. The discounted rate is $259 per night plus applicable taxes and fees.

Which hotel has a room block for this conference? What are the rates?
A block of guestrooms has been set aside at The Drake Hotel at a discounted rate of $259.00+applicable taxes and fees per night.  These rates include wireless Internet service and access to the hotel fitness center. Based on availability the hotel will honor the group rate from April 29-May 9, 2017. Reservations may be made on our special portal here.

Airport Express Discount:
As guests of the Drake Hotel you can receive a 10% discount on shuttle service from Go Airport Express. Both one way and roundtrip services are included in this service. Additional details may be found here.

Is parking available at the Drake Hotel?
Yes, the Drake provides on-site valet parking for $68 or, if preferred, self-park located at 900 N. Michigan for $48.


I have registered for the conference but would like to make changes to my name on my badge. How do I do this?
Your meeting badge will be created using the name and affiliation information submitted in your registration. If you would like to change the information on your badge, you may do so online via our registration system with your username and passwords set up during the registration process, or contact for assistance.  Alternatively, you may request a new badge onsite at the ITechLaw 2017 World Technology Law Conference at the conference registration desk.


Can I receive Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit for attending the ITechLaw World Technology Law Conference & Conference?
ITechLaw will be a certified CLE provider.  Additional information will be provided on this wesite 3 months prior to the conference. 


What is the dress code for the ITechLaw 2017 World Technology Law Conference?
Business attire is encouraged for all meetings and events at the ITechLaw 2017 World Technology Law Conference.

At the Gala Reception and Dinner, for which tickets must be purchased separately during the registration process, black tie attire is strongly encouraged; however, cocktail or business attire is also acceptable.


Will there be vegetarian or other dietary meal options at the Conference and Gala Dinner?
Yes. Vegetarian options will be made available at the Welcome Reception and lunch buffets. At the Gala Dinner, vegetarian options can be made available upon request. Please note your dietary requirements during the online registration process, or contact in advance with your request and dietary restrictions (kosher, gluten-free, etc.).


Can I volunteer onsite to get reduced registration to the conference? 

Yes. Law students and associate lawyers may volunteer onsite at the conference for 2-3 shifts and receive complimentary registration to the conference. This complimentary registration does not include the gala reception, which is available for a ticketed fee. For more information, contact or click here

Will I have Internet access while at the conference?
Complimentary wireless access will be available throughout the two conference days. The internet cost in your hotel room is included in your guestroom rate if you are staying at the conference hotel.
