On May 16 – 18, 2018, ITechLaw hosted 231 attendees from 43 countries at the 2018 World Technology Law Conference in Seattle, United States. The conference provided education on the latest technologies and legal developments on a global scale. One attendee shared that he attends ITechLaw Conferences “because there is always great debate from different perspectives in the world; at the conference you can definitely find the largest amount of high-level specialists."

Educational Sessions from Global Compliance to In-House Perspectives
In sessions, attendees learned about topics such as Global Compliance, 4D Printing, online store IP liability, space law, and crypto currencies. One session featured in-house counsel from leading companies: Intuit, CGI, and Microsoft in which they offered insights on their challenges and how to work effectively with them.
I-WIN Breakfast 40 attendees joined the I-WIN (ITechLaw Women’s International Networking) Breakfast to discuss the unique interest and needs of women in the legal field. Naomi Assia (Israel) and Laura Liguori (Italy) shared remarks. Anyone interested in joining I-WIN should contact ITechLaw.

Gala Dinner 200 conference attendees enjoyed the formal gala dinner at MoPop. Most attendees arrived early to walk through the museum and enjoy the MARVEL exhibits. There were acrobatic performances during the reception and acrobatic aerialist during dinner; it was the most elegant and spectacular event of the conference.
Interactive Workshops
This year the conference featured six workshops and, covered great topics such as website compliance, Robot Process Automation, and online store IP infringements. Attendees found the interactive nature and focused discussions to provide helpful information for them to implement in their daily jobs.

Networking
A hallmark of the ITechLaw conference is the networking between attendees – during breaks, the receptions, and the lunches. One attendee commented that the conference “brings the best and brightest tech lawyers together from all over the world to share ideas, problems, and solutions in all technologies. There is no other association like it.”
Closing Reception
The conference concluded with an evening at the Starbucks Roastery where attendees could see behind the scenes of coffee production. With private-access tours of the factory, this was a unique experience currently only available in two cities across the world: Seattle and Shanghai. It was a perfect venue for attendees to unwind after a great conference.
