E-Commerce Law Committee

eCommerce comprises all aspects regarding commercializing goods, services and IPR through electronic means. This includes sales, services, licenses and any other forms of online commercial exchange, both in regard to consumers (B2C) and businesses (B2B). While the issues addressed in this committee will often overlap with topics addressed in other committees, the eCommerce Committee will address those issues from an eCommerce perspective. E.g. data protection might be addressed, but not regarding general compliance issues but rather focused on the practical implications for eCommerce businesses. Therefore, the potential eComCom topics comprise a broad variety of topics, such as e.g.: data protection, payment schemes, VAT issues, regulatory issues, consumer protection laws, fraud and cybercrime, crossborder litigation, etc.If you are an ITechLaw member, view the community page for more details.
