Truiken Heydn specializes in litigation, arbitration, mediation and conflict management with a focus on IP/IT and other technology related disputes. She advises and represents companies in factually as well as legally complex disputes before courts, international and national arbitral tribunals as well as in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. She represents software manufacturer Oracle against Germany’s leading second hand software dealer in the landmark copyright infringement case which is presently pending in the German Federal Supreme Court.
Ms. Heydn studied law at and obtained a doctorate from the University of Regensburg and was admitted to the German bar in 1995. From 1997 through 2002 she was an associate with Baker & McKenzie in the offices Frankfurt, Dallas (USA) and Munich. From 2002 through 2007 she was a partner in the Munich office of Baker & McKenzie.
Ms. Heydn is the author of numerous legal articles and has given many presentations on IP and IT related issues, in particular on “used” software.
