Jacqueline Wièrdak joined Brinkhofs ICT Group as of May 2006. Her main focus is on Information Technology and more in particular privacy/data protection. She negotiates IT-related agreements and assists clients with disputes on IT-related matters. She advises on data protection issues such as the obligation to notify, grounds for (further) processing of personal data, the use of processors, and the use of personal data for direct marketing purposes. Ms. Wièrdak specialised in issues relating to transfers of personal data outside the European Union (for example, the use of standard contractual clauses or Binding Corporate Rules).
Before joining Brinkhof, Ms. Wièrdak (University of Leiden, 1997) worked for four years at the College Bescherming Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority). Prior to joining the CBP she worked for more than three years as an attorney-at-law at Van Doorne, where she participated in the E-Commerce Group.
