Benoit Van Asbroeck

Benoit Van Asbroeck is a partner in the Brussels office of the international law firm Bird & Bird.

Mr. Van Asbroeck has broad expertise in drafting and negotiating complex IT/IP contracts. He has extensive expertise in IT/IP aspects of all corporate transactions. He also represents clients in litigations especially in iPod technology rich companies. 

Mr. Van Asbroeck has written extensively on ICT/IP related subjects and collaborated with the Dutch periodical Computerrecht on a special issue on outsourcing. In addition to being a guest lecturer at the Katholieke Universiteit Brussel and the University of Lyon II on contract in technological environment law, he is a substitute commercial judge and mediator/arbitrator with the World Intellectual Property Office.

Mr. Van Asbroeck studied law at the University of Brussels. He also studied law at the Universities of Tübingen and Cambridge. He has been a member of the Brussels bar since 1984, and he speaks French, English, Dutch and German.
