Salman Waris LL.M. (U.K), Heads the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Practice at FoxMandal Little, India’s largest full service law firm. In the recent past, Mr. Waris has been recommended by Legal500 and AsiaLaw Leading Lawyers 2009 Guide for his work as a technology lawyer. He has worked on a broad range of transactional, advisory and contentious matters in the IT, telecom and outsourcing sector. Mr Waris regularly advises on data protection/ privacy, M&A and joint venture, outsourcing (IT or Business Processes), technology transfers and legal/regulatory issues concerning new media and the Internet.

Mr. Waris is a fellow member at the Centre for Socio Legal Studies, University of Oxford, and the International Media Lawyers Association. He is a regular speaker at IT industry conferences on IP, technology and data protection law and has trained officers of the Indian Army and the Delhi Police on Cyber crime and Cyber law related issues. Mr. Warris is regularly quoted on technology law issues both in the national and international publications including the UK Data Protection Journal, India Business Law Journal, the Financial Express, Economic Times, Indian Express, Business Standard, and the Times of India, to name a few.

He is also a member of industry bodies like the NASSCOM Emerge, TiE and INTA Internet Committee- International Trade Mark Association.
