Chuck Lobsenz
Director of Intellectual Property/Senior Corporate Counsel for Clearwire Corporation; Milton, FL USA

Mr. Lobsenz is the head of the Intellectual Property Group in the Clearwire Legal Department, where he is responsible for all aspects of worldwide intellectual property legal operations. This includes patent procurement and portfolio management, intellectual property licensing and enforcement, IP transactional matters, trademark legal matters, and management of both internal and external legal resources performing such functions. Mr. Lobsenz also represents the company in connection with the company’s participation in standards based patent pools.

Before joining Clearwire, Mr. Lobsenz was Senior Corporate Counsel at Sprint, where he negotiated numerous high dollar wireless infrastructure deals relating to Sprint’s initial build-out of its fourth generation WiMAX-based wireless network. Prior to that, Mr. Lobsenz was a partner at an IP boutique in Northern Virginia.  He has also been Of Counsel at firms such as Hunton and Williams and Shaw Pittman.  Prior to law school, Mr. Lobsenz worked as a software engineer as well as a product design engineer in the field of integrated circuits.

Mr. Lobsenz received his law degree, cum laude, from the Albany Law School of Union University where he was an editor of the Albany Law Journal of Science of Technology.  He is admitted to practice in New York and Virginia.  He has authored numerous articles and he has been a co-host of a radio show focusing on technology law issues.
