Ms. Neri heads Herbert Smith's Paris IP/IT group where she is an expert in contentious and non-contentious IP issues. She is both a mediator and an arbitrator for the World Intellectual Property Organisation.
In her current position, Ms. Neri advises and litigates in all areas of intellectual property, including copyrights and neighboring rights, trademarks, patents and industrial designs, with particular expertise in information technology. She advises on IT projects (outsourcing agreements, technology transfer and licensing agreements), international data protection and cross-border data flows and e-commerce (distance selling regulations and online advertisement). Ms. Neri's experience in IT litigation includes domain name litigation and cyber squatting. In the context of corporate transactions, Alexandra conducts audits of IP portfolios, reviews of companies' IT infrastructure and assessments of companies' regulation compliance.
Ms Neri is an active member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), the International Trademark Association (INTA), the International Bar Association (IBA) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) IP/IT Committee. She is also a European Commission expert on intellectual property matters. In particular, she assisted the state of Estonia for the setting up of the intellectual property code.
