Yan Pecoraro advises clients on private equity and venture capital deals, acquisitions and joint ventures with a focus on the gaming, media and entertainment industries. He acts for some of the world’s leading online gambling sites. His gaming practice includes counseling gaming operators in connection with contractual (e.g., revenue sharing, white label partnerships, technology transfer agreements, production agreements, and IP issues) and regulatory issues (such as establishing Italian operations, advertising gaming products, and compliance with regulations against money laundering).
Mr. Pecoraro provides gaming-related advice to non-gambling clients, such as media services and content providers, brand owners, and ISPs, relating to advertising arrangements, gambling-related projects and services, white label deals and prize competitions. His non-gambling practice also includes counseling clients on commercial arrangements and operations within the TV, entertainment, and Internet sectors.
He contributes to International Law Office and Mondaq with respect to gaming topics and has been interviewed by several magazines on the gaming industry and the Italian market. He graduated from the Roma Tre University Law School and obtained a Master's degree in Business Consulting from the School of Economics of the Roma Tre University and an LL.M in International Business and Economic Law from Georgetown University Law Center. He is Vice-President of the Intellectual Property, Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Commission and a member of the Executive Committee of AIJA (Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats). He represents his firm before the Chambre Française de Commerce et d’Industrie en Italie.
