Oliver Habel specializes in corporate law and German and international commercial law, especially for the IT/e-commerce, mechanical engineering and plant construction, logistics and medical technology industries.  An important part of his professional work consists of drafting and negotiating contracts for international trade, such as purchasing and licensing agreements, project and OEM contracts and R&D partnership agreements.  In corporate law, his work is connected with company start-ups, setting up new branches and M&A.  In court, Mr. Habel handles cases involving disputed IT projects, sales contracts and product liability law.  His clients include national and international companies, as well as start-ups and private clients in the field of commerce.

Oliver Habel holds a doctorate in the field of copyright and software protection.  He has worked for prolonged periods in the United States and Australia.

In addition to publishing specialized articles on contract drafting, he is the main author of the handbook "Technology contracts/engineering and plant construction, logistics, information technology."  He is a member of the ITechLaw Board of Directors, the German Association for Law and Information Technology, the German Institute of Arbitration and the German Bar Association.
