Robert Bond is head of the Information Law Group at his firm. He specializes in information technology law and commercial law, and he is also a well-recognized expert and author in the fields of e-commerce, data protection and information security laws. He is chairman of the ICC (UK) E-Business, IT and Telecoms Committee and the IT & E-Commerce Committee of the Licensing Executives Society. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and a Companion of the British Computer Society.
Mr. Bond’s clients include Second Life (a virtual world) and Demotix (a user-generated news site), and he founded “The I in Online,” a charity schools project aimed at raising awareness of privacy risks in social networking for teenagers and students.
Mr. Bond is author of “Software Contracts,” published by Tottel, and “Negotiating International Software Licenses and Data Transfer Agreements” published by Sweet & Maxwell. He is also a Notary Public.Mr. Bond has specialised in data protection and information security since 1983.
