Travel from the Airport to Downtown Barcelona and Hotel Arts

Registration

The ITechLaw Registration Desk opens at 07:45 on Thursday and 08:00 Friday. It is located in the Gaudi Foyer on the Lower Ground Floor. Please check-in with the Registration Desk upon arriving at the conference.

Attire

All meetings and the Welcome and Closing Receptions are business casual attire. Black Tie is encouraged at the formal Gala Reception and Dinner.

Welcome Reception

Barcelona Bar Association is pleased to host this year’s ITechLaw Welcome Reception. All conference attendees are invited to attend. The Welcome Reception features hors d'oeuvres and drinks while mingling with old friends, board and executive committee members, speakers, and attendees. Welcome remarks will be made by the Barcelona Bar Association’s President Silvia Gimenez-Salinas and ITechLaw’s President John M. Carson.

Location: Barcelona Bar Association, 283 Mallorca Street, Barcelona. Please enter the main building of the Bar, located at the corner of Mallorca and Roger de Llúria streets. The event will take place in the Patio de Columnas room. For a map showing the location of this venue, click here.

Gala Reception and Dinner (Black Tie Encouraged)

The formal Gala Reception and Dinner will take place on Thursday, 6 November at 19.30 at the stunning Casa Batlló , the art nouveau masterpiece of Spanish architect Antonio Gaudi. A separate ticket must be purchased to attend this event. Tickets may be purchased through the online registration system.  The deadline for purchasing Gala Dinner tickets is Friday, 31 October. Black Tie attire is encouraged for this event. Please note that guests will make their way to and from Casa Batlló on their own, via taxi. For a map showing the location of this venue, click here.

Closing Reception

All attendees are invited to attend the Closing Reception, immediately following the conclusion of the conference on Friday. The reception will take place at the Restaurante Bestial, a modern restaurant-bar by the sea. It is a five minute walk from the hotel to Bestial (address: C/ Ramon Trias Fargas 2-408005, Barcelona). Name Badges

Name badges must be worn for admittance to all meetings, meals, and the Gala Reception and Dinner.

Internet Access

The ITechLaw Internet Café will be located in the Saló Picasso. It offers you complimentary wireless Internet access and is open throughout the conference on Thursday and Friday. The Internet Café is your place to catch up on e-mail and to hold small meetings.

Meals

Continental breakfast and buffet lunch are included with your registration fee.

Weather

The weather during the European Conference is expected to be in the low 60’s F/ 14-17º C during the day and in the high 40’s F/ 8-10º C in the evenings.
